FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL
(POST PRODUCTION)

Flashbacks of a Fool

Hollywood movie star Joe has it all; looks, fame, money, but there's a demon inside him that his Babylonian debauches can't kill.

On a one way ticket to self destruction Joe realizes the only way to save himself is by returning to a place he's been running from his entire life, his childhood, a place ruled by a love he desperately wants to remember and a catastrophe he'll do anything to forget.

Starring Daniel Craig, FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL is a tender ode to first love, a shocking fable of soul wrenching tragedy, and a poignant, powerful journey of forgiveness, redemption and healing in the heartbreaking tradition of PRINCE OF TIDES.

Director: Baillie Walsh

Cast: Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Douglas Henshall, Harry Eden, Claire Forlani

THE BANK JOB
(POST PRODUCTION)

The Bank Job

From acclaimed Director Roger Donaldson and based on the true story of the now legendary 1971 Baker Street bank robbery, this is a story which has remained untold for over 35 years due to a government gagging order.

THE BANK JOB tells how one of the biggest robberies in British history took place with no arrests ever made, nor money ever recovered. It also tells the story of a vault full of secrets, the scandals that unfurled and the lives lost in the pursuit for the truth to stay 'hidden'.

In the tradition of classic British crime sagas such as SEXY BEAST and THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY, and with a gutsy performance from international superstar Jason Statham (LOCK, STOCK & TWO SMOKING BARRELS, SNATCH, TRANSPORTER 1 & 2) the long whispered and rumored truth of what really happened on Baker Street can now be told.

Director: Roger Donaldson

Cast: Jason Statham, Saffron Burrows (TROY, DEEP BLUE SEA)

US Release: Lionsgate Films

SEPTEMBER
(WORLD CINEMA OFFICIAL SELECTION)

October 6, 11:00, Daeyoung Cinema 3
October 9, 19:00, Busan Theater 2

September

The inaugural project in the newly established Tropfest Feature Program, September is a tender story of friendship and loyalty between two boys on the cusp of adulthood.

September is a humane, cinematic and intricately drawn coming-of-age story - a visually stunning character film about two 16 year old boys, one black, one white, whose pure and unaffected friendship begins to fall apart against the backdrop of a turbulent and pivotal moment in Australia's past.

Set in Western Australia in 1968, Ed and Paddy have been best friends for as long as they can remember, having grown up together on Ed's family farm. They spend their afternoons together being boys; laughing, reading, smoking and then building their own make-shift boxing ring in the wheat fields where they spar each day and dream of future glories.

But Ed is white and Paddy is Aboriginal and the changing social and political climate threatens to fracture what was a rock-solid friendship.

Director: Peter Castairs

Cast: Xavier Samuel, Clarence John Ryan

STORM WARNING

Storm Warning

The people who brought you WOLF CREEK and the director of URBAN LEGEND take terror to the extreme!

On a weekend boating excursion, husband and wife Rob and Pia become lost in a heavy storm and end up in the most unlikely place - a desolate swamp surrounded by thick forest. With their boat in disarray their only solution is to look for help or seek shelter of some kind.

They finally come across a decrepit house and barn with no one home.

But when the deranged, redneck owners, Brett, Jimmy and their even more terrifying father Poppy return, Rob and Pia realize a fear far beyond anything they have ever known, and resentful of the affluent intruders, the monstrously sadistic hillbillies imprison and enslave the couple, who fearing for their lives, submit to appalling degradation and humiliation.

Director: Jamie Blanks

Cast: Nadia Fares, John Brumpton, David Lyons, Mathew Wilkinson
