Darclight Films was formed in 2004 as the genre division of Arclight Films. The Darclight banner encompasses a wide variety of genres including horror, thriller and action feature films, with recent successes being horror films Wolf Creek, Perfect Creature and the upcoming Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, and action film Body Armour.

Jim Caviezel will star in Arclight Films' remake of 1978 Australian suspense thriller "Long Weekend."
Arclight topper Gary Hamilton and Nigel Odell will produce and Jamie Blanks ("Urban Legend," "Storm Warning") will direct. Lensing is scheduled to commence in Australia in mid-November.

Marking her first film since Boxing Helena in 1993, Jennifer Lynch will direct Pell James, Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond in indie supernatural thriller Surveillance.
Lynch, who penned the script with Kent Harper, begins lensing later this month in Canada. Marco Mehlitz's Lago Film (Just Friends, The Devil's Rejects) is producing. Filmmaker David Lynch is exec producing and helping finance.

Lionsgate has picked up North American rights from Darclight Films to the horror anthology Trapped Ashes.
The four-part tale tells of seven strangers on a Hollywood studio tour stranded inside a House of Horrors exhibit. The protagonists are forced to share their most terrifying personal stories in order to get out alive.
Joe Dante, Ken Russell, Sean Cunningham, Monte Hellman, and John Gaeta directed. Dennis Bartok wrote the screenplay and produced with Yoshifumi Hosoya and Yuko Yoshikawa. Read more >
