Now in its tenth year, Arclight Films was founded by Gary Hamilton and Victor Syrmis as an international sales, production, finance and distribution company which encompasses theatrical, television and home video/dvd.

Films that have been sold under the Arclight Films banner include the 2004 Oscar winner CRASH and 2007 Golden Globe nominated film BOBBY which was written and directed by Emilio Estevez.

Since its inception, Arclight Films has sold over sixty motion pictures, including THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, starring Academy Award winners Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons; the action drama LORD OF WAR, a film based on the true-life story of one of America's most notorious arms dealers, starring Nicolas Cage and Ethan Hawke; and THE BANK JOB starring Jason Statham. Currently in pre production is the $20m action film THE COURIER written by Michael Brandt and Derek Hass (WANTED) and directed by Academy Award nominated director Hanny Abu Asad.

In addition to the Arclight Films label, Arclight Films also incorporates the label Darclight, which was formed in 2004 as the genre division of Arclight Films. Among the films which Darclight has sold and produced are WOLFCREEK which went on to gross almost over $100m world wide. Darclight is currently producing a $25m 3D shark film BAIT directed by Russell Mulcahy. The film will be the first ever Australian/Singapore co-production.

In 2005 Ying Ye joined Arclight Films to launch Easternlight Films, a subsidiary label devoted to showcasing the best in Asian cinema and television. Among the films Easternlight has sold are worldwide blockbuster FORBIDDEN KINGDOM starrring Jackie Chan and Jet Li; NEW POLICE STORY starring Jackie Chan; THREE KINGDOMS starring Andy Lau; 14 BLADES starring Donnie Yen and FUTURE X COPS starring Andy Lau.

Arclight Films is a recognized presence at all major motion picture and television festivals and markets including Cannes, AFM, EFM and Berlinale, Hong Kong Filmart, The Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Pusan International Film Festival as well as MIPCOM and MIPTV.

The company currently has offices in Los Angeles, Sydney, New York ,Tokyo and Hong Kong.
