Tooth and Nail (Horror, Thriller / Completed)

In the year 2012, the world's refineries have run out of fuel. Without gas, food or electricity, civilized countries have spiraled into looting and anarchy, and much of the world population has starved to death or killed each other.

A small group of survivors take refuge in an empty hospital with plans on re-building society. They rescue a young girl who is the victim of a brutal attack, but soon discover that they were followed by a savage band of cannibals known as Rovers. The Rovers begin to kill them one by one, and the trapped survivors must find a way to outwit their stalkers.

"TOOTH & NAIL is an incredibly atmospheric film that looks quite expensive for such a modest budget. The movie has a very grainy "realistic" look, which helps bring the viewer into this post-apocalyptic world. The blood, when used, is quite realistic and fantastic. NAIL is an extremely violent movie with the cannibals stabbing and axing their victims to a merciless end. What's nice is that Young doesn't overdo the blood, which would make the film campy - a lot of it is implied. Done correctly it's quite effective; thank God Young knows what he's doing. "
