Now in its sixth year, Arclight Films was founded by Victor Syrmis and Gary Hamilton as an international sales, finance and distribution company which encompasses theatrical, television and home video/dvd.

Upcoming films that will be released under the Arclight Films banner include BOBBY; the fictional recounting of the events on the eve of Bobby Kennedy's presidential nomination, written and directed by Emilio Estevez and starring Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Elijah Wood and Sharon Stone; INFAMOUS, which chronicles the sensational story behind the creation of Truman Capote's iconoclastic opus "In Cold Blood", starring Sandra Bullock and Gwyneth Paltrow; the Albert Brooks' comedy, LOOKING FOR COMEDY IN THE MUSLIM WORLD, which recently opened the Dubai Film Festival; the teen comedy MATERIAL GIRLS, starring Hilary and Haley Duff; MINI'S FIRST TIME, a dark comedy starring Nikki Reed, Alec Baldwin, Luke Wilson and Carrie-Anne Moss, produced by Kevin Spacey; and the Sundance selection COME EARLY MORNING, starring Ashley Judd.

Since its inception, Arclight Films has sold over sixty motion pictures, including THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, starring Academy Award winners Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons; the drama LORD OF WAR, a film based on the true-life story of one of America's most notorious arms dealers, starring Nicolas Cage, Ethan Hawke and Jared Leto; the romantic war drama HEAD IN THE CLOUDS, starring Academy Award winner Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz; and the espionage drama A DIFFERENT LOYALTY, starring Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett.

Last year, Arclight Films launched a theatrical production branch for the Australian market, with the goal of releasing six to ten features per year. The highly anticipated feature ROMULUS, MY FATHER starring Eric Bana, is scheduled to commence principal photography this May. Following that will be the thriller STORM WARNING from director Jamie Blanks (URBAN LEGEND) which will be part of the Darclight label.

In addition to the Arclight Films label, Arclight Films also incorporates the labels Darclight Films which was formed in 2004 as the genre division of Arclight Films, Easternlight Films which is devoted to showcasing the best in Asian cinema and Arclight Television.

Arclight Films prides itself in forming strategic alliances with numerous domestic and international production companies and producers in order to establish long-term distribution arrangements. The company currently has a deal with Bold Films, the production company responsible for films such as BOBBY, MINI'S FIRST TIME, SLINGSHOT and COME EARLY MORNING, which has been invited to screen at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Other companies that hold similar relationships include Relativity Pictures, Ambush Entertainment (OH IN OHIO and UNEARTHED) and ApolloScreen Filmproduktion (REEFER MADNESS: THE MOVIE MUSICAL, ELVIS).

Arclight Films has a recognized presence at all major motion picture and television festivals and markets including Cannes, AFM, Berlin, Hong Kong Filmart, The Sundance Film Festival, The Toronto Film Festival, UK Film Focus as well as MIPCOM and MIP-TV.

The company currently has offices in Los Angeles, Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto and Hong Kong.
